This is PHENOMENAL!! This is everything I want from a CAN’T SWIM scenario and more. I love all the GASPING and FLAILING, Summer’s vocality throughout. The raft keeps her close to the camera so that the viewer feels enclosed with her in that space, in that desperate, dramatic moment. All those SUPER TIGHT CLOSEUPS and the echoing breathy sounds, the way her gasping and yelling is amplified in that claustrophobic chamber…
This video has all that sensory stuff I love so much, with the percussive sound of the bubbles BURSTING, the way Summer looks as she flails behind this wall of tiny bubbles coming up… This is a MASTERPIECE. I’d easily say this is my favorite Summer project ever, which is saying a lot for a talent whose performances are always so consistently ASTOUNDING. I feel like she raised the bar on this one, even for her. WOWWWWW!!!
